Reblog if you are
themanyfacesofkalijah asked: Can you do a drabble where Elijah turns it off and Klaus and Rebekah call Katherine for help after they discover that they may like him more in his "moral brother" state, after all?
Hope you like my dear!
“You’ve pushed him too far this time Nik.” Rebekah growled at her older, yet sometimes more childish brother.
“What do you expect Bekah? That I would welcome this wolf girl with open arms? It’s already been proven that the child is not my mine and yet Elijah refuses to let it go.” Klaus replied.
“He only wanted the baby to be yours so we could all be closer.” Rebekah shouted, trying to get through to him.
“And all it has done is push us further apart. In all honesty we should be glad she skipped town with her pack.”
Rebekah sighed, she knew Klaus was right and hated that fact. Hayley leaving town was the best solution, ever since Davina figured out the baby’s true paternity two days ago Hayley’s days had been numbered.
“Elijah feels like all hope has been lost for you now.” Rebekah whispered, her voice growing impossibly low as she continued, “He’s turned his humanity off Nik.”
Klaus turned around, “What? What are you talking about?”
“I went to his room this morning to see if he was ready to talk and there were bodies everywhere. Dead bodies. All drained dry.” Her voice cracked, thinking that Elijah had done something like that didn’t sit right with her. He was always her moral compass in the rather violent life they lived.
Klaus didn’t speak for a moment, his hands fisting the back of the plush chair that stood in front of him.
When he finally spoke his voice was quiet, sounding more like a vulnerable child rather than the ruthless king of New Orleans, “What do we do?”
“There’s only one thing I can think of, and the only person who is going to like it less than me, is you.” She replied, her arms crossing over her chest.
For a moment Klaus looked to her in confusion but soon he groaned in realization, “Of course. Katerina.” He practically hissed in disgust.
Rebekah pursed her lips, “Hmm perhaps I’II make the call and not you, yes?”
Tearing into the unsuspecting man’s neck Elijah continued to feed until the body went cold.
With a flick of his wrist the man fell to the ground, landing on his wife’s body.
Elijah removed a handkerchief from his suit pocket, dabbing his lips clean as he walked out of the house.
As he made his way down the steps of the private residence he heard the shallow breathing of a human nearby. In a flash he stood in front of the woman his hand moving to her throat before she had a chance to speak.
Elijah’s eyes adjusted to the dark surroundings, the moon acting as the only light source, “Katerina?” He asked, loosening but not releasing his grip.
“The one and only.” She coughed when the pressure of his hand lifted.
“Yes I heard you were human.” His voice detached and cool, noting her fragile state.
“And I heard you turned it off.” She quipped.
“Rebekah informed you I assume.”
“Klaus too. They’re…worried.” Katherine said carefully. She had never seen Elijah without his emotions before, and had no idea how he’d react to her usual flippant behavior.
“Why are you here Katherine?” He said in exasperation.
“Katherine? Wow that hurts.” She said honestly. He had never called her that in all the lifetimes they had lived through. Elijah sighed, “I have no time for this.” He turned around and began to walk away.
“So that’s it? You’re just giving up like that?” She began to shout as he trudged across the dewy grass.
“Coward!” She called out.
“Excuse me?” He said as her words brought him to a halt.
“You’re a coward. That were-slut fooled you into thinking you had a chance to re-create your family. And now that dream has been crushed and you’re running. Sounds pretty cowardly to me.” She replied, telling him everything he needed to hear.
Elijah flashed to Katherine, pushing her against the garden wall, “I’m the coward? All you’ve done your whole life is run.” He spat, “Maybe it’s my turn to have a little fun. To not feel compassion or decency or loyalty.”
“That’s not what you’re doing. You think this is fun?” She said, her head indicating to the house where he had just killed two people, “The longer this continues, the harder it will get to turn your emotions back on.”
“You’re better than this.” She continued.
Elijah’s eyes narrowed at her words, “You’re one to talk about doing the right thing.”
Katherine growled as he pushed her further against the wall, her long curls getting caught up the unruly vines.
“Well I learned from the best.” She gritted through clenched teeth.
Elijah smirked at her facial expression, but quickly shook his head, “I don’t think I can.”
“Why not?” She answered.
“What use is my humanity when I have no one to share it with?” He spoke lowly, his dark orbs connecting with her equally black eyes.
“I’m sure I could help with that.” She said, her voice hoarse as she leaned in hesitantly.
Elijah mimicked her movements, leaning down and capturing Katherine’s lips in a bruising kiss.
Pulling away after a few minutes, Katherine panted against his neck, “Turn it back on ‘Lijah.”
And with one flick deep within in his mind, he did.
reasons we love olex » they are each other’s second chance at life
"Butterflies are God’s proof that we can have a second life." The beauty of that quote and the coincidence that both Sam and Alex have butterfly tattoos was the main idea that drove many people to ship these two before they even met. Both have been through a great ordeal, between losing loved ones and their own personal struggles — a fresh start is just what each of them needed.
